One Health awarded COVID-19 Health Disparities Grant

POWELL — One Health has been awarded $583,547 from the COVID-19 Health Disparities Grant Program.

Wyoming has dedicated $8.1 million in federal funding to help eligible entities build up the health care infrastructure and address historical inequities in their communities. The funding is part of Wyoming’s $38.8 million allocation from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for its COVID-19 Health Disparities Grant. The Align Team manages this portion of the COVID-19 Health Disparities Grant for the Wyoming Department of Health.

One Health plans to use the reimbursable grant to update flooring and paint at the Lovell site, produce an educational campaign surrounding services available to all community members in the Big Horn Basin regardless of their ability to pay and assist in the architectural design of the new clinic space in Powell.

One Health expressed gratitude to the State of Wyoming for financial assistance in support of furthering the organization’s mission to “improve the well-being of everyone by providing accessible, quality health care for the whole community.”
