The first district basketball tournament of northern Wyoming now on at Lovell is drawing huge and enthusiastic crowds. The tournament is being held in the Lovell High School gym, amply large, too, for any such occasion.

The Lovell Bulldogs will play their first game of the 1950 basketball tournament at Powell this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Lovell boosters have no doubt about the Bulldogs being in the finals Saturday night when tournament play is completed.

Dr. Henry Eskens, Lovell physician, today announced that Medex Galen Jones, a physician’s assistant, will join his staff as of March 1. Under Dr. Esken’s supervision, Jones will take patient histories, perform physical examinations, suture minor lacerations, make laboratory tests and complete many other medical tasks for which he has been trained.

Wyoming farmers should not be left to suffer because a large agribusiness firm has filed for bankruptcy and is no longer honoring its contracts, U.S. Representative Barbara Cubin, R-Wyo., said this week.
U.W. Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., is actively seeking remedy to a potentially disastrous situation impacting Wyoming turf grass, alfalfa and clover seed farmers.
