Elsewhere in this issue will be found the announcement of Hon. John H. Hinckley for the office of State Senator in the forthcoming Republican primaries. Mr. Hinckley has served as a State Senator before, with great distinction and credibility to his constituents. He is perhaps as well known as any man in the Big Horn Basin, and he has a legion of warm friends everywhere. He is honest and four square and will be a tower of strength as Big Horn County’s only member in the upper house of the Wyoming legislative assembly.

John and Gus Paris re-opened their café in the Jolley building this week after being closed a few days for redecorating. With the change in the front of the building to the full glass, modernistic sloping windows, they placed a new neon sign on the front. Instead of calling the café The Stockman, it was opened as the Wyo Cafe. The proprietors stated they had hoped to have new booths ready to install with the opening, but were unable to get delivery. The café is unusually light and pleasant now, and when the new booths are installed will be one of the nicest small cafés in the basin.

One of the year’s most widely anticipated films, “The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing,” an MGM presentation starring Burt Reynolds and Sarah Miles, opens Thursday at the Hyart Theatre.
A blend of romance and high adventure in the American West of the 1880s, “The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing” marks the first screen love story for the popular Reynolds and the first made-in-America film for Sarah Miles, the British actress nominated for an Academy Award for MGM’s “Ryan’s Daughter.”

John and Jennette Haslem of Greybull have announced the engagement of their daughter Necia Ann to Travis B. Peterson, son of Randy and Karen Peterson, of Cowley. A July 1, 1999, wedding is scheduled for the Bountiful, Utah, LDS Temple with a reception to follow on July 23 in Cowley at the LDS Church.
Necia is a 1997 graduate of Greybull High School. Travis is a 1996 graduate of Rocky Mountain High School and served a two-year mission for the LDS Church in the California San Jose Mission. He then attended one semester at Northwest College in Powell. The couple will reside in Cedar City, Utah, where they will both attend Southern Utah University and have employment.

After many years of steadily ramping up over-the-counter sales, the Queen Bee Gardens honey candy company of Lovell has taken the full plunge into retail sales by opening a new storefront on Main Street in Lovell. Queen Bee has opened the storefront at 244 E. Main, just two doors down from the factory at 262 E. Main.
