Add one more to the “oil towns” of Wyoming. Lovell, basking in the fame of a gusher strike by the Standard Oil Company of California four miles southwest of the town, is a new center of interest for the producer. As far as utilities, there was not the slightest interruption of service. Lovell Town Manager Don Richards said no services were interrupted. There were no malfunctions with the computer systems at the police department or at the town office, Richards said. Randy Lowe, general manager of TCT West, said there were no problems with the circuits becoming overloaded and shutting down the system. All three Lovell banks were open for business on Monday, Jan. 3, and ran into no Y2K bug problems.
