Pete E. Rodriguez

Pete E. Rodriguez, 52, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, at Cascadia of Nampa in Nampa, Idaho, after a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 10, 1971, in Lovell, the son of now deceased Rosie Padilla Iglesia and Lorenzo Rodriguez Jr. Pete lived most of his life in the town of Lovell, where family was important to him.

Pete was a loving brother, cousin and uncle, who enjoyed good music and dancing all of his life. Even as a child you couldn’t keep him off the dance floor. Everyone wanted him to be their dance partner.

He will be greatly missed for his sweet, lively, energetic and adventurous personality. You could always count on him to strike up an amazing conversation at family and friends gatherings. He always put his family and friends’ concerns over his own. He was known to  have a phenomenal trivia memory. He was very devoted to his family and friends.

He was predeceased by sister Felicitas Rodriguez and brothers Joshua Rodriguez and Travis Burke. 

Pete is survived by his five sisters and two brothers, Abby Hernandez of Idaho, Senona (John) Phillips of Ft. Worth, Texas, Victoria (Israel) Chavero of Caldwell, Idaho, Pam Rivera of Powell, Krystal (Gerardo) Rodriguez of Byron, Mercedes (Connie) Rodriguez of Sheridan and Shane (Jennie) Foster of Billings. He did not have children but loved his 35 nieces and nephews as his own.

A graveside service will be held October 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lovell Cemetery.
