Pioneer Days volleyball grows in participation
This year’s Cowley Pioneer Days volleyball tournament had a great turnout, according to event coordinator Natalie Collins.
“We had more teams sign up than in years past,” she said. “It keeps growing in popularity.”
Collins reported that all the players seemed to have a great time and played a lot of volleyball in the busy afternoon.
Team Neon Netters won the tournament after defeating Fat Aces in a barn burner championship match.
After winning the first set with a score of 25-20, the Neon Netters dropped the second set, 25-18, to force a deciding set three. The final set went back and forth before the Neon Netters clinched the 24-22 victory.
Members of the winning team were Selena Call, Toby McNulty, Brikton Wardell, Preston Wardell, Eve McNulty and Stephanie Winters.
