Plot Twisters win Challenge of the Books
There are good readers, and then there are good readers with good memories. The latter combination allowed six Lovell Middle School students to win the annual Challenge of the Books competition last Wednesday, Dec. 17, in the LMS Commons.
The Plot Twisters prevailed in the competition, winning a contest of recalling plot details from books the participants had read. Members of the winning team are Paige Asay, Oakley Abraham, Emily Sanders, Chloe Asay, Nellie Guccion and Kylie Nicholls (captain).
Four teams practiced in the library with Danielle Henley.
In Round One, Book Hackers defeated Booked From 6 to 7 39-19, and in Round Two, The Plot Twisters beat Book Babes 61-48. That set up the championship match between Book Hackers and The Plot Twisters, and The Plot Twisters won the title 40-26, advancing to the area competition February 24 in Basin.
Members of the Book Hackers were Carson Grant (captain), Jasper Eades, Silas Grysban, Gordian Grau and Wyatt Gittlein.
Members of Booked From 6 to 7 were Rylee Mayes (captain), Oakley Anderson, Ayvah Mcillwaine, Janelle Asay, James Sanders and Hadley Henton.
Members of Book Babes were Oakley Bischoff (captain), Renaka Lauhoff, Macee Winterholler, Wyatt Hendershot, Kashie Collins and Nevaeh Durfee.
