Police Report: ‘Loud argument’ at motel mediated by officers
The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of March 11-17:
March 11: Police made contact with citizens at Armory Park to let them know the park was temporarily closed.
March 12: Officers responded to a report of a theft from a residence where several items were found missing by the reporting party, who had been out of town. The resident also reported damage to his truck, which was on loan to a family member. The matter of the theft is under investigation. Police determined that the damage to the vehicle was a civil matter, since the individual had permission to use it.
March 15: First Bank of Wyoming reported receiving a fraudulent check. The matter is under investigation.
March 17: After receiving complaints about a loose brown dog, officers issued a warning to the dog’s owner about the town’s dog-at-large ordinance.
Police investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle driving slowing through a private camper park with its lights off. No criminal activity was discovered.
Following a report of a loud argument at a local motel, officers mediated an argument between a young adult and other family members. Officers contacted the young man’s mother, who intervened and took him to her home in Billings.
Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Dept. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
