Resident arrested for DUI
The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of February 19 to February 25:
February 19: 8:32 a.m.- A semi-truck with Florida plates received a verbal warning for failure to maintain a lane.
February 20: 9:13 a.m.- A successful vehicle unlock of a black jeep Grand Cherokee with Montana plates was completed at the parking lot of New Horizons Care Center.
4:40 p.m.- A man was reported to be sleeping in his black Dodge car on the road near Minchow’s Food Court on East Main Street. An officer contacted the man, who said he was tired and thought he had parked safely. The officer asked the man to move his vehicle and the man did.
February 22: 7:43 a.m.- A German shepherd mix dog and a black puppy were reported to be running around near the 800 block of Shoshone Avenue. The owner later called to state the dogs had returned.
February 23: 5:16 p.m.- An officer attempted to service a warrant that was booked out of Park County at Bair’s Trailer Court. There was no answer, and the officer was unable to make contact.
February 24: 1:21 p.m.- A traffic complaint of a newer Ford with California plates on East Main Street in Lovell was reported. The vehicle was unable to be located.
7:30 p.m.- An officer initiated a traffic stop at Country Store on East Main Street in Lovell. The traffic stop ended with the arrest of Alex Santillan, a 19-year-old male, for a DUI.
