Police report: Citations issued to ex-husband for protection order violation

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of March 10-16:

March 10: 12:01 p.m. – A caller reported missing dogs, a silver and white Yorky mix and a brown and white mini schnauzer, then called back within five minutes to report that the dogs had returned to the home.

March 11: 6:50 p.m. – A female reported receiving concerning text messages from her ex, but the numbers didn’t match his known cell phone number. The case remains under investigation.

March 12: 4:43 p.m. – An officer observed a green mountain bike in the street on West Third that had been run over and damaged. The officer removed the bike and propped it up against a fence so it would be noticed by an owner.

4:50 p.m. – A juvenile had been lured into sending photos of him or her dressed in underwear to a party on social media, and the individual was then threatened with a demand to send nude photos. The case is under investigation.

March 13: 12:05 p.m. – A caller reported dogs running loose at East Second and Big Horn Avenue. An officer was unable to locate the dogs.

March 14: 1:49 p.m. – An employee of the North Big Horn Senior Citizens Center reported that someone had shut off the outside air compressor for the center’s industrial refrigerator. An officer looked at security camera footage and could see no evidence of tampering, but the case remains under investigation.

March 15 – 11:35 a.m. – A loose blue heeler was caught on Great Western Avenue and taken to the animal control shelter. The owner paid an impounding fee, and the animal was returned.

12:21 p.m. – A woman reported that her ex was violating a protection order against him. He was issued citations for violation of a protection order and stalking. Other more serious charges were also filed.

12:42 p.m. – North Big Horn Hospital advised dispatch that an intoxicated male had left the hospital in a Ford F-250 and was driving north on Shoshone Avenue. A Lovell officer found the vehicle at a residence and no longer occupied, so no improper driving behavior was observed.

11:12 p.m. – A woman reported that someone jumped her outside the Shoshone Bar. A physical altercation ensued between two females, and the fight was broken up by bar patrons. An officer viewed security camera footage and determined that the two engaged in mutual combat.

March 16: 9:53 a.m. – A caller reported that paint ball practice was to commence at Armory Park starting at 10:30 a.m. with inflatable course pieces installed but no paint used. The caller noted that paint ball guns would be visible and that about 10 people would be at the activity.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
