Police Report: Dog gets away after making a mess with trash cans at residence
The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of March 4 through March 10:
March 4: 1:08 p.m. – A staff member of North Big Horn Hospital called to report that an elderly man with dementia wanted to drive to Billings. An officer found the man at his house, and a friend volunteered to take him to Billings.
2:59 p.m. – A citizen came to the police department to report a suspicious incident at Maverik. An officer took a statement, but nothing was determined to be criminal in nature.
March 5: 1:49 p.m. – A report was called in about a large black and tan dog in the trash and making a mess. A responding officer found trash cans knocked over, but the suspect dog had left the area.
March 6: 5:08 a.m. – A caller reported that snow plowing that started at 4:30 a.m. was “waking up the whole neighborhood.”
4 p.m. – A report was called in regarding a car left in a driveway on Wyoming Street. An officer responded, and the vehicle was moved.
March 9: 1:41 a.m. -- A vehicle was reported to have hit a fence on Park Avenue in Lovell. Serrenity Raeann Carabay, 19, was arrested for improper lane usage, minor in possession of alcohol and youthful driver with detectable alcohol.
7:26 p.m. – A gray cat that had been hanging around the Red Apple Supermarket in Lovell was taken to the animal shelter.
March 10: 4:33 p.m. – A citizen reported trash dumped behind a house on Lincoln Avenue including boxes, weights and a weight bench. The Town of Lovell was notified so the items could be removed.
Note: The calls listed above were received by the Lovell Police Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the county attorney.
