The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of February 3-9:

February 3: 8:44 a.m. – A hospice patient was reported to have passed away peacefully in his sleep and was found by his son.

11:02 p.m. – A female called to report being harassed by a male individual and his mother, with the mother reportedly driving by the caller’s residence several times for no reason. The woman was advised that she could come to the police department and file a criminal trespass order, but a protection order would need to come through DFS.

February 4: 10:14 a.m. – An unresponsive male was reported by a neighbor at Rose City West and was found to have passed away due to natural causes.

February 5: 5:18 p.m. – A manager at the Market in Lovell reported a fight between two men inside the store. An officer responded and found that no damage had been done to the store. The men left the store, and neither wished to press charges, nor did the store manager. The officer stayed at the store until the parties left the scene.

February 7: 6:36 p.m. – A short box, dark-colored Chevy truck was reported swerving all over the road and heading toward Lovell. An officer and a sheriff’s deputy stopped two short box trucks and spoke to the drivers, but neither of them was impaired.

February 8: 10:51 a.m. – A caller reported that a telephone box appeared to have been hit and damaged on East Second Street. Police called TCT, and a ticket for repair was to be written. It appeared that a vehicle had slid off the street and knocked off the front panel.

2:25 p.m. – A tractor performing snow removal reportedly clipped and damaged a streetlight at 8 East Main in Lovell. The town public works crew responded to disconnect the power and take the damaged light to the town shop.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
