The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of September 22-28:
September 22: 10:34 p.m. – There was a report of a break-in at an AirBnb on Kansas Avenue. Later, the caller called back and reported that the property had been found in his vehicle and the only thing appearing to still be missing was a laptop. The incident is still under further investigation.
September 23: 12:01 p.m. – A caller reported vandalism to his mailbox on Park Avenue near the school. The SRO looked at the footage and identified the juvenile whose jacket got snagged on the mailbox walking back to school and it came off the post. The juvenile’s dad came and repaired the mailbox and all parties were satisfied.
8:38 p.m. – Officers initiated serving a warrant out of Park County at the Western Motel. Alexander James Houze, 42, of Lovell was arrested and taken to the Park County line where their officers handled the transfer.
September 25: 8:07 p.m. – The owner of a trailer at Bair’s Trailer Court on West Second Street reported that someone had thrown large rocks through the back window of the vacant trailer. The owner simply wanted the incident documented.
September 27: 7:29 p.m. – An officer found an injured owl on Pryor Avenue. They contacted the Game and Fish Department, and neither agency could catch the owl, so they determined the owl’s injuries were not severe and let the owl continue on its way.
