Police report: Lovell woman arrested for battery
The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of April 27-May 3:
April 27: 9:03 a.m. – A citizen brought in a “wet and cold” kitten found near Byron. The kitty was taken to the animal control shelter.
5:16 p.m. – A warrant was served on Nicole Lee Brinkerhoff, 46, who was arrested for battery.
April 28: 7:14 a.m. – An officer made contact with a young scooter rider at Main and Nevada to provide information on riding safely.
12:08 p.m. – An officer responded to the first of four complaints this week by a resident on Nevada Avenue regarding a neighbor’s dogs coming onto his property.
12:54 p.m. – A citizen came to the station to report a scam after receiving a check in the mail for $3,880.98, with the sender wanting her to put a magnet sign on her car for advertising.
April 29: 7:28 p.m. – A caller complained of teenagers drag racing near Armory Park on the Sixth Street side of the park. An officer made contact with one of the drivers and gave him a verbal warning.
9:29 p.m. – A caller reported a disturbance and possible fight on Shoshone Avenue, with vehicles “cutting each other off and burning tires.” An officer made contact with the teens, who were playing a game with squirt guns, cautioning them to drive safely and observe traffic laws.
April 30: 9:53 a.m. – An officer performed a civil standby at the Uptown Apartments for a female who wanted to remove her property from an apartment.
May 1: 8:06 a.m. – A female came to the station and requested an investigation on harassment by another female.
9:47 a.m. – A caller from the area of Lincoln Avenue and East Eighth reported barking dogs throughout the area, stating that “dogs bark and set off other dogs.” An officer responded but was unable to find any barking dogs.
4:46 p.m. – A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on West Third Street. An officer responded and could discern no illegal activity.
8:24 p.m. – A caller stated that the reporting party’s son had lost his cell phone during the middle school track meet and could hear the phone ringing inside a trailer parked at the venue. Dispatch called Lovell coach Collin McArthur.
11:58 p.m. – A caller reported her daughter missing from a home on West Second. After calls to residences in the Powell area and Lovell, an officer made contact with the girl and took her to the police station, where she was released to her mother.
May 2: 1:17 a.m. – A caller reported a stolen vehicle in a case where a mother took her daughter’s car without permission. The daughter located the car at a local bar and took it back.
6:34 p.m. – A caller reported teens around a neighbor’s house, fearing they were “maybe trying to get in.” An officer responded and walked around the house, finding no evidence of forced entry, nor any teens at the location.
9:13 p.m. – A caller reported receiving harassing phone calls every five minutes from both male and female callers. He believed the calls were generated by an ex-girlfriend.
10:26 p.m. – A report of a traffic complaint was forwarded to the LPD regarding a white SUV with Montana plates heading east from Cowley that nearly ran the reporting party off the highway twice, swerving in and out of the traffic lane. The vehicle could not be located.
May 3: 10:42 a.m. – A caller reported a black and brown dog on East Eighth Street running out of its yard and acting in an aggressive manner. An officer responded, but the dog had returned to its own yard.
11:50 a.m. – An anonymous caller requested a welfare check on a resident living on Shoshone Avenue. An officer made contact and found everything to be OK.
1:32 p.m. – A caller reported the theft of a bike, scooter and fishing pole at the Lovell Apartments on Montana Avenue. A neighbor reported seeing three kids walking up the street with the missing items. Contact was made, and an officer determined that the items were taken in retaliation for an earlier incident. The reporting party did not want to press charges, and the items were returned.
2:52 p.m. – A caller reported a possibly suicidal subject on West Second Street. An officer made contact and determined that the individual was not suicidal.
