Police report: Man arrested after bar fight

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of October 28 - November 3:

October 29: Police responded to a call on Carmon Avenue requesting to have a dog housed until the owner’s family gets into town. It was a medical incident where the owner of the dog was taken to the hospital. Animal control will house the dog until the family gets to town to take care of it.

Police responded to a noise complaint that occurred at the Western Apartments on Jersey Avenue involving loud and noisy kids. Police responded and handled it, and no new complaints have occurred.

October 31: Police responded to a property destruction call that occurred on West Main Street. Political signs were destroyed in a caller’s yard. The suspects were caught, and they apologized and agreed to replace the signs.

November 2: Police responded to a fight that occurred at the 4 Corners Bar on West Main Street. A fight broke out between two individuals, and during the fight an elderly man fell. Police handled the situation. Jacob John Rooney, 43, was cited for property destruction and arrested on a warrant from Probation and Parole.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Dept. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
