Police report: Noisy female TikTokers disrupt the peace while filming at car wash

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of August 4-August 10:

August 5: 1:43 p.m. – There was a report that a female was bitten by a dog while delivering a meal from the Senior Center to the dog’s owner on Oregon Avenue. The woman went to the emergency room and had the wound cleaned and received a tetanus shot. The dog was up to date on vaccinations, and the woman did not want to pursue any charges since the dog was in its own yard.

August 6: 12:45 a.m. – For the second night in a row, a caller reported a blue Dodge truck spinning its tires and speeding on East Sixth Street. Officers contacted the juvenile driver, who admitted to messing around, and he was given a verbal warning and promised to stop the reckless driving.

2:46 p.m. – A caller reported that a child was almost run over while riding a small dirt bike on West Second Street. Contact was made with the juvenile and his parent. They were informed of the report, and the parent put the bike away and spoke with the child about safety concerns.

August 7: 10:30 a.m. – A resident of Jersey Avenue returned home from being out of town and noticed that his mailbox had been damaged. After investigation, a woman was given a citation for failure of duty upon collision with an unattended vehicle or property for the incident.

4:11 p.m. – A woman came in the police department upset that she had received a phone call notifying her that she had two warrants out for her arrest. Dispatchers checked and assured the woman that there were not any warrants for her and that the call was a scam.

August 8: 8:22 p.m. – A mother called the police station requesting assistance dealing with issues regarding her 8-year-old son. The son had thrown a rock and hit a little girl that lived next door on Kansas Avenue. The girl’s parents did not want to pursue action against the boy, but the mother was unsure of how to discipline the child.

August 9: 5:23 p.m. – A man reported that he and his vehicle were trapped in the Main Street Car Wash and was running out of air to breathe. Dispatchers informed the man to push a red button located in the stall, which opened the door, and police assistance was no longer needed.

August 10: 7:48 p.m. – After a child custody exchange, one of the child’s parents came into the police station and reported that the child had new and more bruises than normal. Photos were taken of the child’s bruising for documentation.

7:50 p.m. – A resident on Park Avenue returned home and noticed damage to their fence and vehicles parked in the front of the property. While examining the scene, a neighbor came out and informed the owner and police that he had been helping a friend learn how to ride a motorcycle and his friend ended up running into the vehicles and fence. The two parties arranged reimbursement for the damage caused.

10:55 p.m. – There was a report of a group of people being loud at the Main Street Car Wash. Officers arrived and the group of girls were making a TikTok video and promised to quiet down.

Note: The Lovell Police Department received nine separate calls about dogs at large at multiple locations and performed nine traffic stops throughout the week.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
