Police report: Possible larceny at local trailer court remains under investigation

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of December 9-14:

December 9: 1 a.m. – A caller from Bair’s Trailer Court on West Second Street reported that, while she was in the hospital, several items went missing from her trailer. She was to compile a list of missing items, and the case remains under investigation.

3:20 p.m. – An officer spoke with the owner of reported noisy dogs on Kansas Avenue, who said she would take care of the matter.

December 10: 8:29 a.m. – A female asked to speak with an officer about a man who was reportedly bothering her on Facebook. She was advised to contact CARES if the contact continued.

11:12 a.m. – A citizen reported a Publisher’s Clearing House scam to officers at the police station. The individual had not lost any money.

6:24 p.m. – Two juveniles who happened to find “the only snowbank in Lovell” were lobbing snowballs at each other when one struck a car on the rear passenger window. The driver reported the incident but did not wish to pursue charges as there was no damage to the car.

December 11: 8:05 a.m. – An officer checked on an unoccupied vehicle at the town vegetative waste site. When contacted at home, the vehicle owner said the vehicle had become high centered and he had arranged for help from a church member to retrieve the vehicle.

December 12: 10:36 a.m. – Acting on a Big Horn County warrant, police arrested Destiny Ann Devyak, 38, on a bond violation.

December 13: 6:27 p.m. – A caller reported a minor hit-and-run at the Maverik. The caller did not want to pursue charges but asked an officer to speak to the other party.

December 14: 9:14 a.m. – A Catahoula dog reported lost near Five Springs was soon found on U.S. 14A.

8:19 p.m. – A juvenile male backing out of a parking space at Maverik scaped the side of another vehicle and didn’t realize it, then didn’t see the person attempting to flag him down. He was contacted at home and advised to return to the scene.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
