November 21: 10 a.m. -- A woman called to say that her temporary license plates had expired, and a family member was to pick up the plates but had not brought them yet. The caller asked if she could drive on the temp plate even though it had expired since the new plates had been purchased. She was advised that officers could not promise that she wouldn’t be pulled over.
10:11 a.m. – A woman reported that her Apple account had been charged, and a purported caller from Apple gave a number to call for the U.S. Marshal Service. She called and did not provide any personal information but did give credit card information. She was advised to call the customer service number on her credit card.
1:29 p.m. – Two dogs that had been listed for adoption on the animal shelter’s Facebook page for some time were successfully adopted.
6:48 p.m. – A woman came to the police station to report that she had been involved on a minor crash at Maverik. When she exchanged information with the other driver, the driver’s insurance card had expired. An officer searched a database for information, and the policy came back valid.
