Police Report: Suspicious person in park just contractor making repairs
The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of July 15-21:
July 15: A loose white dog was reported on Oregon Avenue.
Officers responded to a family dispute that involved some shoving and a loud disturbance. No arrests were made.
A report of harassment was investigated by officers. The parties agreed to separate for the evening.
July 17: An instance of animal neglect is under investigation.
July 18: A minor crash involving one vehicle backing into another was investigated. No citations were issued.
Officers investigated a report of a vehicle smoking. Apparently, the owner of the vehicle had just recharged the Freon, and it was leaking.
July 19: Police are investigating a report of a theft of vehicle tags from a license plate.
July 20: An incident involving an aggressive dog was reported by a couple out walking. No citations were issued after the owner of the dog got it under control.
Police were called to investigate a family dispute. The matter was settled without arrests.
A suspicious man was seen cutting into the playground ship at Armory Park. Upon investigation, officers learned that the man was a contractor hired to make repairs to the ship.
A pit bull type dog by the name of “Speedy” was reported missing by its owners.
July 21: Officers responded to a complaint of unwanted text messages. No arrests were made.
A report of harassment was investigated by officers.
