Police report: Toyota strikes the Methodist Church

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of July 29-Aougust 4:

July 29: Police responded to a minor crash at the Methodist Church on Park Avenue. A driver at TCT left a 2007 Toyota truck in gear and exited the vehicle. The truck then backed into the church, causing no damage to the church but minor damage to the rear driver side door of the Toyota.

Police are currently investigating a theft that occurred at The Market on East Main Street. Three 18-20-year-old males stole bottles of liquor from the store. Security camera footage was obtained. 

July 30: Police are currently investigating another theft that occurred at The Market. Police believe it is the same three 18-20-year-old males who stole bottles of liquor from the store the previous night. 

July 31: Police are investigating a theft that occurred at the Maverik Country Store on West Main Street.  A man came into the store and was friendly, then took a bottle of Vodka and ran out the back door.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Dept. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
