Police report: Wandering toddler returned to family members

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of July 1-8:

July 1: Lovell Police helped family members search for a missing man who was traveling with a dog. The man was not missing. He was in Powell with his dog.

July 3: Officers conducted a welfare check on a woman walking around in a pink bathrobe holding a bunch of stuffed animals. It was determined she was not in danger.

Police investigated a report involving cyber-bullying.

A hit and run accident is under investigation.

Officers spoke to a group of individuals who were setting off fireworks the day before the holiday after receiving a complaint from a resident who said the sound was keeping a baby awake.

July 4: A wandering 3-year-old was found by police and brought to the police department, while the Dept. of Family Services was called. The child was later reunited with its family.

Officers investigated a bonfire in the street, where wrappers from fireworks were being burned.

July 5: A child was reported missing on Road 13. The matter was referred to the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Dept. since it’s in their jurisdiction.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Dept. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
