Richard Alan Stockhouse
September 8, 1953 – February 14, 2015Former Billings, Montana resident, Richard Alan Stockhouse, age 61, passed away from a short battle of cancer on early Saturday morning, February 14, 2015 at the Spirit Mountain Hospice House in Cody, Wyoming.Rick was born in Denver, Colorado on September 8, 1953. Rick grew up in Greybull, Wyoming and graduated from Greybull High School in 1971. Rick joined the U.S. Air Force and later received an honorable discharge.Rick had a successful career selling automotive parts and also enjoyed security work. He was recently employed with Sundown Security in Billings, Montana.Rick was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Basin, Wyoming. He was a member of the Elks BPOE Lodge #1431 in Greybull and was the past president of the Greybull Lions Club. Rick was affiliated with the Masonic organizations including the Masons, the Big Horn County Shrine Club and the Jobs Daughters.Rick is preceded in death by his mother and father, Janet (Edwards) and Axel F. Stockhouse Jr. and his soul mate, Shelley Hancock.Rick is survived by his children, Tracy Clubs and Heath Stockhouse, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Chantel Schmidt and Xanadu Schmidt, both of Nebraska; his sisters, Cynthia Fisbeck (Larry) of Windsor, Colorado and Cara Blank (Mike) of Cody, Wyoming; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the Atwood Family Chapel in Greybull, Wyoming on Saturday, February 21, 2015 with Reverend David Fox officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service at the Elks BPOE Lodge #1431 in Greybull.Upon reflection of his life, Rick realized that he wanted his legacy to make a difference in the lives of young children. His vision was to see more children grow up with a sense of responsibility towards others and an appreciation for our country and its servants.
