RMMS track teams open season in Burlington: Grizzlies record multiple top-8 finishes in large meet
The Rocky Mountain Middle School track teams opened their season Saturday in Burlington, competing against 13 teams in a meet where several events featured more than 40 athletes.
“For a Wyoming track meet, we couldn’t ask for better weather,” RMMS head coach Joshua Sponsel said. “The kids did a good job getting to their events and competing, especially for the first meet.”
The coaching staff this year includes Sponsel (sprints, pole vault), Taylor Winland (jumps, hurdles), Gerry Burton (distance, high jump) and Rylee Winland (throws).
