RMMS track teams shine at conference meet
The Rocky Mountain Middle School track team had an extremely successful weekend, with both the seventh-grade girls and seventh-grade boys winning conference titles.
Rocky Mountain Middle School coach Josh Sponsel said the teams “did great things this weekend” as athletes across all grade levels turned in strong performances.
Sixth-grade girls
Josie Loyning placed seventh in the 200 meters in 31.43, first in the 1,600 in 6:24.87, second in the long jump with a mark of 13-6 and ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 25-3.5.
Paizlee Fisher placed sixth in the 400 in 1:16.44 and third in the 800 in 3:07.35.
Seventh-grade girls
Raelyn Reculusa finished first in the 100 in 13.92, second in the 200 in 28.96, sixth in the high jump at 3-10 and first in the long jump with a mark of 13-7.5.
Kate Crosby placed sixth in the 100 in 15.07 and ninth in the 200 in 31.68.
Tianna Christiansen took second in the 200 in 29.59, first in the 100 hurdles in 18.05, second in the 200 hurdles in 33.76 and second in the pole vault.
Presli Moss finished first in the 800 in 2:49.27, fourth in the 100 hurdles in 18.70, fifth in the 200 hurdles in 34.17 and third in the long jump with a mark of 13-1.
Kielley Brimhall placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 28-5.5.
Aliyah Lesher finished third in the 1,600 in 7:22.97.
Alexis Clark placed third in shot put with a throw of 22-3, while Ashlynn Davidson was sixth with a throw of 20-1.
The 4x100 relay placed fourth in 1:04.83, the medley relay placed third in 2:33.12 and the 4x400 relay finished first in 5:38.16.
Eighth-grade girls
Taylor Grandalen placed third in the 800 in 2:54.66, first in the high jump at 4-8 and sixth in the long jump with a mark of 13-1.5.
Mariah Mauch finished fourth in the 800 in 3:11.66.
Elle Ganoung placed sixth in the 100 hurdles in 20.66, third in the triple jump with a mark of 25-9.25 and third in shot put with a throw of 23-11.5.
Sixth-grade boys
Gus Loyning finished ninth in the 200 in 32.11, eighth in the 400 in 1:12.89 and ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 24-10.
Kaiden Adey placed third in the 400 in 1:06.60, fourth in the 800 in 2:37.81 and second in the 1,600 in 5:38.60.
Ryker James finished sixth in the 800 in 3:22.02.
Jeremy Weber placed seventh in the 800 in 3:29.59 and sixth in the 1,600 in 7:29.62.
Canyon Weinand finished ninth in the 800 in 3:51.88 and seventh in the 1,600 in 8:19.81.
Bryden Beal placed seventh in shot put with a throw of 26-11.
Seventh-grade boys
Eli Wallman finished sixth in the 100 in 14.74, fifth in the 200 in 30.09, first in the high jump at 4-9 and second in the long jump with a mark of 14-3.
Cody Kougl placed tenth in the 200 in 32.15 and sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 26-11.
Will Simmons won the 100 hurdles in 19.57 and the 200 hurdles in 34.10, placed second in the high jump at 4-9 and third in the triple jump with a mark of 30-1.
Aiden Wallman finished second in the 100 hurdles in 20.11, third in the 200 hurdles in 34.60, eighth in the high jump at 4-5 and fourth in pole vault with a vault of 6-0.
Maddox Ward placed third in the 100 hurdles in 20.23 and fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 27-6.25.
Karter Miller finished fourth in the 200 hurdles in 37.08 and fifth in discus with a throw of 66-10.
The medley relay placed third in 2:50.07, while the 4x400 relay finished second in 5:04.95.
Eighth-grade boys
Brooks Brost placed third in the 100 in 13.29, third in the 100 hurdles in 18.72, second in the high jump at 5-2 and fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 33-5.
James Demers finished eighth in the 100 in 14.26 and 10th in the 200 in 31.30.
Dally Malson placed fourth in the 200 in 27.01, first in the 200 hurdles in 31.34, first in discus with a throw of 101-10 and third in shot put with a throw of 33-6.75.
Hudson Moore finished sixth in the 400 in 1:03.90, second in the 100 hurdles in 17.47, second in the 200 hurdles in 33.60 and second in the triple jump with a mark of 34-0.
Henry Pincoskie placed fifth in the 800 in 2:40.65 and fifth in the 100 hurdles in 20.70.
Jason Unruh finished sixth in the 800 in 2:42.07 and fifth in the 1,600 in 5:52.53.
Ty Samson placed fourth in the 200 hurdles in 39.10 and ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 29-7.
Tyler Crosby finished third in the pole vault with a vault of 8-0.
