The Rocky Mountain Middle School volleyball squads had both wins and losses this past week when they played on their home court, playing Burlington, Thermopolis and Greybull.

To start off, last Thursday Burlington took the win, but the Lady Grizz weren’t far behind. Burlington took the A team match 25-21, 16-25, 15-11 and the B team contest 25-17, 20-25, 15-11. The Rocky C team was swept 25-18, 25-16, 15-11.

Saturday, the Lady Grizz faced Thermopolis. The A team fell 25-12, 25-8, 15-9, and the B team dropped all three sets, as well, 25-18, 25-22, 15-9. But  the C team came through in the clutch, winning 25-11, 25-13, and 15-7.

Monday, Greybull traveled to the Rocky Mountain Gym. The Lady Grizz A team swept three sets 27-25, 25-19, 15-12. The B team lost to the Buffs 25-23, 25-6, 15-13, and C team got swept 25-21, 25-10, and 15-12.

“The A team has been playing around with the rotation, and I think we have found what works best for this group of girls,” coach Lacey Bassett said. “We hope it will transition into this weekend.”

The A team will head into the conference tournament this week with confidence. The tournament will be held in Greybull.

The B team will end their season with a jamboree in Burlington, facing Shoshoni and Riverside. The C team has finished their season.

“The C team wrapped up their season and are just an energetic, fun group,” Bassett said. “They bring energy to all the games and are the best teammates.”
