Rocky Mountain FBLA excels at Wyoming State Leadership Conference

The Rocky Mountain High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter had an outstanding showing at the Wyoming State Leadership Conference held at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Competing alongside over 500 students from 30 different schools, the RMHS members showcased their skills and leadership in various business-related events.

“As part of the prestigious FBLA Champion Chapter program, our chapter successfully completed the Shaping Success, Service Season and CTE Celebration tasks, demonstrating our commitment to leadership, service and career and technical education,” FBLA advisor Skye Mader said.

A highlight of the conference was seeing nine RMHS students walk across the stage in recognition of their achievements in 13 different competitive events, Mader said, adding, “Their hard work and dedication reflect the strength and excellence of our chapter.”

“This experience not only allowed our students to test their skills against some of the best in the state but also helped them grow as future business leaders,” Mader said. “We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing them continue to excel.”

The Wyoming State Leadership Conference provided invaluable networking, professional development and competition opportunities, reinforcing the importance of business education in preparing students for future careers, Mader said.

Anyone placing in the top four will qualify for Nationals in Anaheim, California, and Mader urged community members to “keep an eye out for upcoming fundraisers.”
