Rocky Mountain FFA Officers: What FFA means to me

Hayden Wambeke

I am currently a senior at Rocky Mountain High School and am  planning to attend the University of Wyoming in the fall. Some things I enjoy are sports, dirt bikes, fishing and Ag.

My family owns and operates a third-generation family farm outside of Deaver, Sage Creek Farm. We raise sugar beets, corn, barley, hay and cows. I have always taken an interest in the farm and love furthering all my agricultural skills, so FFA was a perfect fit for me. My favorite part of FFA is the state convention where I can meet many other like minded individuals and compete with others from around the state.

Ella Pierce

I come from a family with roots in the ranching lifestyle. I live on a family owned and operated cattle ranch just outside of Frannie, where we focus on raising cattle and growing hay. I’ve always had a passion for activities that tie me to agriculture. I find joy in the outdoors, but I have the most passion for the ranching life — working with cattle, roping and riding horses.

The FFA has been a big part of my high school career because it connects me with others who share my passion for agriculture and the ranching. It’s an organization that allows people like me to grow in leadership and agricultural knowledge.

Sam Loyning

I’m currently a sophomore at Rocky Mountain High School. My family owns and operates Loyning Angus. When I am not at school or playing in sports, I’m working for my family on the ranch. Wrestling is one of my passions, and I also ran cross country. One of my favorite things about FFA is meeting
new people and getting to connect with others who share similar interests.

Colten Bitton

I am 16 years old, currently a junior at Rocky Mountain High School. I am active in both football and wrestling. Outside  of school athletics, I enjoy riding dirt bikes, hunting and spending time in the mountains. I am also involved in 4-H and FFA, where I show and sell my pigs at the Big Horn County Fair.

One of my favorite things about the FFA is the opportunity to meet new people and gain valuable insights about agriculture and life skills while also expanding my knowledge through diverse life experiences.

Charlee Welling

I am a sophomore at Rocky Mountain High School, and in the future, I want to pursue agriculture related work. I enjoy sports, being outdoors and being with family and friends. I find most happiness comes from working hard and being passionate about my agriculture related experiences. FFA has exposed me to many new things and has given me amazing experiences. It has caused me to continue being passionate about my future. Being in FFA is a gift to my present and future and will continue to cause me to grow.

Triffen Jolley

I am a junior at Rocky Mountain High School, and I love to play football, wrestle, ride dirt bikes and hunt. My family and I raise pigs to butcher and also for my brothers and I to show and sell at the Big Horn County Fair. My favorite part of FFA is going to the State FFA Convention and competing in the Ag Mechanics competition.

Bailey Simcox

I am currently a junior at Rocky Mountain High School. In my free time, I like to go to the lake, hang out with friends and paint. When I am with my family, we like to go boating, shooting, fishing and have barbecues at the lake. My favorite part of FFA is getting to try new things that are outside of my comfort zone and being able to learn new information from other people during workshops and other group events.

Jameelly Brost

I am currently a sophomore at Rocky Mountain High School. Some things I enjoy are ranching/farming, fishing, working on trucks and diesel mechanics. My family owns a small ranch on the outskirts of Lovell, Rebel Daughters Ranch. We raise cattle and hay. I have always had an interest in working with cows, horses and mechanics, so FFA was the perfect fit for me. My favorite part of FFA is the different opportunities I have been given to further work with my interests and intake more knowledge about them.
