Sanders wins county library logo contest
The Big Horn County Library System recently wrapped up a countywide logo design contest inviting students from across the county to help shape the future look of their libraries. The contest encouraged young artists to create a simple, flexible design that reflects Big Horn County while remaining easy to use across a variety of formats.
Students were asked to keep their designs clean and readable, limit colors and create artwork that would scale well for everything from signage to one-color printing. The goal was a logo that could represent the entire library system while still feeling connected to the community it serves, Lovell Branch Library head librarian Cathy Collins said.
The winning entry was created by Lovell Elementary School third grader Audrey Sanders. In recognition of her design, Sanders received a $150 gift card to purchase books for her classroom, helping to share her success with fellow students and promote a love of reading.
