Senior Center Chatter - Loss of Sandy McConnell leaves a void

The center has an unusual theme for May. It is called “Under the Sea.” The center is vibrant with many colored tablecloths and a big mural. Sea creatures, lighthouses and artifacts abound. The month will culminate with a fish luncheon and special activities. Come and enjoy.

The center has lost one of our beloved volunteers. Sandy McConnell passed away May 5. She was an intrugal part of the volunteers. She was a willing hand wherever needed, and she loved doing crafts. She made many decorations including fake tacos for Cinco de Mayo and decorated the Boston fern in the ladies bathroom. There is a big hole in our life without Sandy.

Isn’t the rain wonderful? The lilacs are putting on a big show. Can’t wait for the delphiniums and peonies. Looking forward to enjoying June at the center.
