Sheriff’s report: Booze to blame as man shoots himself in the foot

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Department received the following calls for the week of March 4 through March 10:
March 4: 1:06 p.m. – Cows were reported out on Highway 32 near Lovell. The call was referred to the Highway Patrol.
5:46 p.m. - A resident of Deaver asked to talk to a deputy about a possible scam he found on Facebook. He was told to report the scam to Facebook.
March 6: 4:06 a.m. – An accidental shooting was reported on Birch Street in Frannie in which a 20-year-old man visiting from out of the area accidentally shot himself in the foot with a 9mm pistol while under the influence of alcohol. The Deaver-Frannie Fire Department and North Big Horn Hospital EMS rendered aid, and the subject was transported to North Big Horn Hospital.
1:49 p.m. – A semi vs. car crash was reported east of Lovell at U.S. 14A East and Highway 37. Donna Marie Rodriguez of Lovell was arrested for DUI, open container and failure to report an accident. No other details were available.
3:29 p.m. – A citizen complained that he had been pulled over by an officer in Cowley. He was advised to take the matter to the town council.
March 7: 12:43 p.m. A deputy reported an abandoned vehicle at milepost 222 on U.S. Highway 310. Highway Patrol was notified.
March 8: 1:29 p.m. – A domestic dispute was reported at a residence on Beaver Flats east of Lovell. The dispute was investigated and found to not be physical in nature.
March 9: Tony Lane James, 45, of Deaver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in crystalline form, possession of a marijuana device and breach of peace.
9 p.m. – Extra patrol was conducted at the old Byron school on Main Street in Byron.
March 10: Tyler Vaughn Stahl of Lovell was arrested on warrant for probation violation/revocation, interference with a police officer, evading or eluding a police officer, driving without an interlock device, reckless driving, driving with an expired registration and driving without a license.
Note: The calls listed above were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Department. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the county attorney.
