Sheriff’s report: Car crashes into livestock at night

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office received the following calls for the week of July 14-22:

July 15: Wallet found near Titan Mine Road near Lovell.

Deputies received a call regarding a trespass order at the Cowley airport.

July 16: A vehicle swerved and hit a guardrail at mile post 240 on Highway 310 between the Oasis Junction and Cowley. No other information was available.

July 16: A dead deer was causing a traffic hazard on Highway 14A near Lovell. It was removed from the road.

Alex Colby Timmons of Lovell was arrested on an out-of-state warrant.

Deputies fielded complaints regarding violation of the fireworks ordinance in Byron.

July 18: Raymond Gonzales Montanez of Lovell was arrested in Lovell for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

July 19: A Subaru Outback travelling at night hit a bull and three cows that were in the road near Highway 14A and Road 15 near Lovell. None of the four passengers in the car were seriously injured. All livestock died at the scene.

One of three vehicles that were caravanning to Billings hit a guardrail near Lovell Lake. Deputies assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol. The driver was treated for minor injuries and released.

July 22: An out-of-state individual was issued a warning for shooting from the road at mile post 227 on Highway 310 near Lovell.

Note: The above calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
