Sheriff’s report: Suspicious person was looking at property for sale

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office received the following calls for the week of April 22-28:

April 22: Deputies performed a civil standby while items were exchanged during a domestic incident.

Cows were cleared off Highway 14A near Lovell.

April 23: Deputies received a report regarding a dog that was attacked by another dog near Lovell. The owner of the attacking dog was contacted and after showing proof of vaccinations agreed to settle the matter by paying for veterinary costs incurred during the incident.

A suspicious vehicle was reported to deputies in Frannie. It was just someone who parked to watch the sunset.

April 25: A request for extra foot patrol on Main Street in Cowley was received by deputies.

April 26: Deputies investigated a report of an individual trespassing on land near Lovell. The person was later identified as a family member.

April 27: A suspicious vehicle was reported in Frannie. Deputies investigated and found a person looking at property that is for sale.

Deputies agreed to extra patrol in an area outside of Lovell, where residents complained about speeding vehicles.

April 28: A Cowley woman reported someone at her front door with a handgun. The suspected individual was from Powell, so the matter was referred to law enforcement in that jurisdiction.
