Sheriff report: Deputies arrest two for meth, DUI

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office received the following calls for the week of February 23-March 1:

February 23: 10:44 p.m. – In a dispute that began the night before, a female party on Lane 9 near Deaver wanted to leave a residence, but the male party wouldn’t let her. When a deputy arrived, the male then said he “wanted her out of there.” She left and was advised to ask for a civil standby when she returned to collect her belongings.

February 24: 6:52 a.m. – Deputies responded to the scene of a one-vehicle rollover on U.S. Highway 14A just past the Oasis Junction.

4:50 p.m. – After a report of sheep out on the highway southwest of Lovell on Wyoming Highway 32, a deputy arrived and “got them run back through the fence.”

February 25: 3:42 p.m. –A caller reported a small beagle at the Deaver-Frannie Cemetery “causing issues with the RP’s livestock.” A deputy responded and could see no sign of a beagle.

7:42 p.m. – A female caller said an older female Blue Heeler had wandered onto her property near Lovell. She posted the lost dog on Facebook and gave the dispatcher the OK to provide her phone number if anyone called missing the animal.

February 26: 9 a.m. – A Colorado man walking along the highway north of Frannie entered the office of the Wyoming Lime Producers plant asking for coffee. Employees gave the man coffee and walked him back out to the highway, telling him to stay off the lime plant property for safety reasons. He informed a deputy that he was walking south from there.

12:03 p.m. – A caller stated that he was walking his dog on Road 11½ when two aggressive dogs came off a property and attacked his dog. His dog wasn’t injured, but he wanted to report the incident. A deputy spoke with the dog owner, who said the dogs were current with their rabies shots and that he would “take care of it.”

1:07 and 1:19 p.m. – Cows were reported out on U.S. 14A about a mile northeast of Byron and on U.S. 14A just southwest of the Oasis Junction.

1:27 p.m. – A bull was spotted out about two miles northeast of Byron on 14A. The owner was contacted to put the bull back where he belonged.

5:40 p.m. – A caller reported firewood stolen on East Second South in Cowley. The case is under investigation.

February 27: 10:33 a.m. – A deputy assisted at the scene of a wildland fire on Road 11½ near Lovell.

4:48 p.m. – Responding to a REDDI report of a blue Nissan Maxima “all over the road” and traveling “at varying speeds” near Byron, a deputy pulled the car over and issued a warning to the driver for speeding.

7:37 p.m. – A deputy moved a pallet from the highway on Road 11½ near Lovell.

Brittni Ann Jolley of Powell was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine and transported to the county detention center in Basin.

February 28: 8:53 a.m. – A deputy observed a car in John Blue Canyon east of Lovell with the driver passed out but the engine running. Sean Gregory Phillips of Provo, Utah, was arrested for DUI and transported to Basin.

March 1: 8:10 a.m. – A deputy noticed a parked truck and trailer on the John Blue Road with the passenger door left wide open. The deputy shut the door.

6:58 p.m. – A caller advised that one lonely cow in a field across the street from her in Byron was near a trench in the field and that she was worried the cow would fall into the trench and get hurt.
