Valentine's Tales: Angela and Troy Butler
We met in college at the University of Utah. I was dating Troy’s roommate when we first met.
Troy proposed after we dated about six months. He already knew the answer though. We had our wedding date scheduled before he actually asked and gave me a ring.
He asked in true Troy fashion by sending me on a scavenger hunt. I received a note at my door that led me to my car where a ring box sat on top of my car. The box was empty with another note that led me back to my apartment where I was given a tack to pop about 30 balloons to find the ring. All the balloons were filled with fake rings inside. When I popped the last balloon, Troy appeared outside my balcony doors, down on one knee with the real ring.
Our relationship has always been full of laughter and lots of teasing. We have been together for 16 years now and have three children, Brock, 12, Taysom, 10, and Emery, 9. We also get the opportunity to work together through our business, Butler Accounting. Very grateful for the life we have built together so far and looking forward to the rest of eternity.
