Vana Lynn Bell Camp

July 22, 1948 – July 31, 2025

Vana Lynn Bell Camp died July 31, 2025, at New Horizons Care Center in Lovell. She had glioblastoma.

She was born July 22, 1948, in southern New Mexico. She migrated to northern New Mexico with her family, Charles and Bessie Marguerett and sister Dana (David). 

She met Bill Camp in junior high. They eloped to Juarez, Mexico, before heading north to Wyoming and Montana.

Together they had Dru Odil with grandkids Cheyne (Rayah), Dylan (Celinda) and Thalia and great-grandchildren Maddie and Kai; Carissa Camp; and Cassie Piper with grandkids Jacob, Joshua and Abigail.

Vana held a wide range of jobs and hobbies. She worked at Piggly Wiggly and SE, Inc. and helped Bill work honeybees. She was the Deaver Town Clerk for 25 years, winning WAMCAT Member of the Year in 2014. She volunteered on the Deaver Rec Board, Deaver-Frannie Cemetery Board and Helping Hands of Deaver. 

She helped with AWANA, Sunday Schools and story hours. She was in the Gideons Auxiliary and was a member of Trout Unlimited. She enjoyed her family and friends as well as leading Bible studies, gardening, planting flowers, cooking, bowling and fly fishing.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Helping Hands of Deaver or the Gideons. 

Services will be Saturday, Aug. 9, at 10 a.m. at Grace Point Church in Powell.
