Wyoming resident Veterans with 50% or more service-connected disability are eligible for a lifetime pass from Wyoming State Parks.

The pass can be used at parks, recreation areas, archaeological sites and historic sites under the State Parks umbrella. The Lifetime Veteran’s Pass allows free day use and camping for life with the exception of camping at Hot Springs State Park.

State Parks and Cultural Resources Director Dave Glenn explained, “This program underscores our commitment to honoring the bravery and dedication of those who have served by providing accessible and cost-free recreational opportunities. We aim to support the well-being and quality of life of our disabled veterans, allowing them to enjoy the landscapes of Wyoming’s parks and past stories of our historic sites.

Another way State Parks show appreciation is to offer free entrance to all parks and sites for veterans and active-duty military on Memorial Day, Flag Day and Veteran’s Day.  First responders receive free entrance on Patriot Day (9/11).

Applications are available online at reserve.wyoming.gov. Completed applications and documentation should be emailed to  wyoparks@wyo.gov or mailed to Wyo Parks, Attn: Vet Pass, 2301 Central Ave, 4th Floor, Cheyenne, WY 82002.
