Wyoming DEQ observing national Air Quality Awareness Week
The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) – Air Quality Division (AQD) is joining the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and agencies nationwide to celebrate Air Quality Awareness Week, May 5–9, 2025.
This year’s theme is “Stay Air Aware,” encouraging Wyoming residents to use available resources to stay informed about air quality conditions around the Cowboy State and help preserve the state’s clean air.
Members of the public can view near real-time air quality conditions and cameras at air quality monitoring sites around Wyoming by visiting https://www.wyvisnet.com. WyVisNet contains an abundance of resources and information about Wyoming’s air quality. Another resource during wildfire season is https://fire.airnow.gov, which provides a national map of ongoing fire and smoke impacts.
“Maintaining our clean air is essential to the Wyoming way of life,” said AQD Administrator Nancy Vehr. “We invite everyone to take small steps that can make a big impact.”
