Carol W. Baston

Carol Welch Baston, 87, of Cowley, died on March 21, 2015, in Billings.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Vernon C. Baston, and her parents Charles F. and Cora Brew Godfrey Welch.

She is survived by her daughters Cynthia B. Petersen of Billings and Joan Hughs of Sarasota, Fla.; her sons Vernon Michael and Jeffrey C. Baston; sisters Gay Asay and Terry Welch Brown and six grandchildren.

She was a wonderful mother and friend to many. She was a true western woman who loved cooking for her family and telling western stories around the campfire. She was an expert seamstress and sewed many denim quilts that she gave away to family and friends.
