Police Report: Barking dogs scare potential home buyers away

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of April 8-14:

April 8: A local bar owner asked officers to issue a criminal trespass order.

A resident reported an online scam designed to gather personal information that resulted in a large volume of advertisements being sent to the individual, complaining after giving the scammer his telephone and email information. 

April 9: Officers responded to a report of an adult female unable to care for herself. The matter was referred to another agency.

April 10: Officers received a report of a pit bull on the loose. The dog was picked up by animal control.

A resident trying to sell a home complained that the neighbor’s dogs barking at potential buyers was hindering the sale of the home.

April 11: Officers investigated illegal trash dumping at the vegetative waste site in Lovell. An individual caught dumping the trash agreed to clean up the mess.

A local tavern owner consulted with police about a strange acting person at the bar.

April 12: Police were notified about a young girl laying on the sidewalk for a long period of time. Officers checked on her well-being and learned she was just trying to remove a rock from her shoe.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Dept. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
