Circus scheduled for July 9 in Lovell
The circus is coming to town. Tri-Mountain View Masonic Lodge No. 35 is sponsoring the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus on Tuesday, July 9, at the Lovell Rodeo Grounds.
There are two shows: 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the circus will allow the lodge to present bicycles to top readers at the local elementary schools.
The 1½-hour show includes big cats, foot juggling, bareback riders, unicycles, the Wheel of Destiny and Tight Wire, a trapeze act and Leo the Circus Clown.
All are welcome to come to the rodeo grounds on the morning of the show at 9:30 to take a free tour of the circus grounds, which includes watching the tent raising, meeting the circus animals up close and personal, learning about their routine and care and learning about the show’s daily operations.
Advance tickets are $13 for adults and $8 for children age 2-12 or seniors 65 and over. Prices rise to $16 for adults and $9 for children and seniors the day of the performance.
Tickets are available at the Lovell Chronicle, Hillside Floral, Queen Bee, Wild Edge, Pryor Mountain Electric and KB Hardware and Lumber or can be purchased online using a QR code printed on posters around town or via the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus website: www.cmcircus.com.
Credit cards are accepted at the box office and concession stand.
The circus offers bouncy houses, a 22-foot slide, pony rides, face painting and a concession stand one hour before the show. Cash is accepted at each attraction.
