Popular mentalist returns to Evening With Friends event
Tickets are still on sale for the annual An Evening with Friends fundraiser for the North Big Horn Hospital Foundation scheduled for Saturday, April 26, at the Lovell Community Center.
North Big Horn Hospital Marketing, Foundation and Grants Coordinator Janet Koritnik said this year’s event features the return of award-winning comedic mentalist Jym Elders, who delighted attendees at the event two years ago.
The 2025 event also marks the return of a full meal catered by Wyoming 310 featuring prime rib or chicken parmesan.
Koritnik said the evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a social hour followed by the meal at 6:30 p.m.
The social hour will include a variety of appetizers, complimentary wine, souvenir wine classes and a cash bar. Music will be provided by Route 66 — Ron McClure and Emelyn Pimentel.
An extensive silent auction will be held during the social time, with all proceeds going to women’s health at the hospital.
Highlighting the silent auction items are tickets to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, a kayak trip for two, two tickets to a University of Wyoming football game in the Wildcatter Suites, tickets to Lava Island in Billings, artwork, a variety of gift cards, lawn chairs, a drone with WiFi camera, a fishing trip, a lap quilt, a visit to Zoo Montana and the Pizza Ranch and gift baskets.
Raffle tickets are also on sale for an overnight stay at Willow Hollow in the Bighorn National Forest.
Entertainment will be provided by comedic mentalist Jym Elders, who wowed the Evening with Friends crowd two years ago. According to a biography on the Funny Business Agency website, Elders has been a mentalist for more than 20 years, noting, “His award-winning mentalism has been amazing corporate and college audiences from New York to Los Angeles to Calgary and everywhere in between. Having a lifelong fascination with the paranormal and all things mysterious, Jym utilizes his background in psychology, theater and magic to create a show that is both mesmerizing and memorable.”
Tickets are $60 each and are available from Koritnik or foundation board members Michael Asay, Carol Fink, David Peck, Jeff Pearson, Chad Petrich, Barbara Shumway and Craig Sorenson or CEO Eric Connell. Call 548-5240 for more information. The foundation requests that tickets be reserved by April 18.
“It’s great to welcome back Jym Elders as our featured entertainer,” Koritnik said. “He was amazing a couple of years ago. Our annual Evening with Friends is always a great time, and we’ve had tremendous community support for the fundraising event this year.
“Women’s health is an important issue, and we are pleased to raise money to support women in our community.”
