The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of April 21-27:

April 21: 11:15 a.m. – Management at Maverik requested that someone be “trespassed” from the business after being confrontational with an employee and making threats.

12:07 p.m. – A caller said she thought she spotted a tornado north of her residence on East Third Street. An officer took a look and did not observe a funnel cloud or any indications of a tornado.

12:53 p.m. – A caller reported a door left open at a residence on East Third Street. An officer responded, found the door open and went inside. No one was home, and everything seemed OK. The officer secured the door, and contact was made with the homeowner, who was asked to report back if anything was found to be missing.

April 23: 12:59 p.m. – An unoccupied vehicle was reported at the Lovell Rodeo Grounds. An officer made contact with the guardian of the juvenile and advised the guardian to ask that the vehicle be moved after school.

2:54 p.m. – A welfare check was requested for a man sitting in a green van at the Lovell Apartments. He had an apartment at the location and was simply taking a nap in his van.

5:20 p.m. – In an apparent runaway, an officer and deputy searched for a 16-year-old juvenile who had gone missing. He was located, and his mother made plans to take him to the group home in Basin.

April 24: 10:22 a.m. – A teller at a local bank reported a customer with a small child not secured in a child seat. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

April 26: 7:13 p.m. – A juvenile called asking to speak with a male officer, stating that he was feeling depressed. A male deputy was called and spoke to the young man since the officer on duty was female.

April 27: 10:31 a.m. – A woman spotted a loose dog near the sugar factory while walking her dog. She knocked on some neighborhood doors, then took the dog to the police station, and the dog was taken to the animal control shelter.

7:42 p.m. – Two white dogs were reported loose at Jersey and West Seventh, with the caller stating that the dogs were semi-aggressive while he was walking his own dog. The dogs were picked up by an officer, and about that same time the owner of the dogs reported them missing. The owner was able to meet an officer and retrieve the dogs and was given a verbal warning for multiple dogs at large.
