Ellen G. Cooper

Ellen G. “Granny” Cooper  of Lovell passed away August 3, 2025, in Billings. 

She was born November 24, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Ellen and George Kappes.

On September 30,1950, Ellen married Joseph “Pop” Cooper Jr. in Philadelphia.  Shortly afterward they moved to Florida, where they raised their family together.

Ellen, along with her late husband, has been coming to Lovell for the past 40 summers to spend time with their daughter and family. Ellen cherished these visits and made countless memories with loved ones.

Ellen enjoyed fishing and travelling, having visited every state in the U.S. in their motorhome, visiting their children and grandchildren and attending as many sporting events as possible to support them.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and one son, Joey (Sue) Cooper.

She is survived by her daughter, Eileen (Ray) Fink of Lovell, son Bruce (Amy) Cooper of Bondurant, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Granny will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor, adventurous spirit and deep love for her family.
