Sinclair, MTI take rec league hoops titles

The Lovell Recreation District 2026 Men’s League basketball season concluded recently, with six teams participating: Shiloh Warriors, Barber Mafia, Brick Layers, BBF South, Sinclair and KB Hardware.

The Championship game was held on April 7, and Sinclair and BBF South had a hard-fought battle that night with Team Sinclair coming out on top.

“A big thanks to the Bair family for the use of their Michael Jordan Gym and for being so generous,” a league spokesman said. “Team Sinclair is sponsored by Minchow’s Service of Lovell.”

The Powell Recreation District Men’s League Basketball 2026 Tournament had 10 teams participating: Flight Crew, MTI, Feels Like Home LLC, Mountaineers, Big Horn Pest Control, Powell Vision Clinic, Powell Projects, Whitlock Appraisal, Space Cowboys and Ardurra.

The championship game was played on April 15 at Powell High School. MTI played Big Horn Pest Control for the championship. MTI took first, Big Horn Pest Control second, and Whitlock Appraisal and Powell Vision Clinic played for third and fourth. Teams expressed thanks to Powell Rec for sponsoring the tournament.
