Lovell Farmers Market returns next week

Get ready. The Lovell Farmers Market returns on Friday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. beginning August 7 at Armory Park. This year features many local vendors, including several members of the community, neighbors selling their garden goods fresh or canned and more. This is a great way to participate in your local community by supporting each other.

Sharron Nicholls and her husband Duane have been involved with the Lovell Farmers Market since 2015. The first market had two vendors, taking place in the Queen Bee parking lot. The farmer’s market has come a long way since then. As many as 20-plus vendors are expected this year at Armory Park. Duane starts setting the signage up Thursday and finishes on Main Street Friday. Without his help Sharron says the market couldn’t be possible.

Customers can expect their favorite vendors from last year but with new arrivals each week. Each of the 10 tables under the pavilion have been spoken for. However, there is plenty of space for everyone. The George family is expected to bring corn as soon as possible, but Mother Nature holds that timetable. Sharron says come each week to see what is fresh and new, and maybe you will also get corn.

Goods will be sold until 6 p.m. each Friday or until each vendor is sold out. If you are interested in selling your goods at the Lovell Farmers Market, contact Sharron Nicholls at 832-465-7428. Sharron and Duane are available at Armory Park for pop-up vendors to register at around 3 p.m. on Fridays starting August 7. The Farmers Market is expected to last until September 25.
