Sheriff report: Man injured in two-vehicle crash east of Lovell

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office received the following calls for the week of September 21-27:

September 21: 5:36 p.m. – A report was relayed of a toddler riding unrestrained in the back seat of a vehicle west of Byron, possibly heading toward Lovell. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

7:07 p.m. – A REDDI report stated that a driver in a black truck had left a bar in Lovell and was driving erratically, heading west. A description was relayed, and deputies stopped the vehicle between Byron and the Park County line. Deputies arrested Joseph Anthony Gillette of Cody for DWUI and improper lane usage.

September 22: 3:44 p.m. – A deputy removed tire debris from West Main Street in Cowley.

September 23: 5:08 p.m. – A car on U.S. 310 just south of Cowley was hit by a tire that came off an oncoming pickup, striking the car on the front driver’s side. Deputies investigated at the scene.

September 24: 6:35 p.m. – Deputies investigated a two-vehicle crash east of Lovell on U.S. 14A at the turnoff to Wyoming Highway 37. A vehicle driven by Angel Paz began to turn north onto Highway 37 and drove into the path of a vehicle containing two juveniles from Lovell, the impact carrying the boys’ vehicle off the highway on the north side. Paz was transported to North Big Horn Hospital, and the juveniles were shaken but did not suffer serious injury.

September 25: 11:28 a.m. – A woman in Byron complained of loud music on South Center. A deputy drove to the area and could not hear any music.

4:20 p.m. – A caller reported loud dirt bikes driving on East Yellowstone in Byron. A deputy was unable to locate any bikes.

5:20 p.m. – A deputy referred a pickup parked in the middle of the road on Road 9 near Cowley to another deputy. The pickup was gone when the second deputy responded.

5:46 p.m. – A caller requested a welfare check on a friend at the Byron Bar. Everything was 10-4.

5:53 p.m. – A caller reported that multiple people were constantly coming onto his property east of Lovell despite a sign warning of the private property. He was advised to put up a game camera.

September 26: 7:41 p.m. – A caller on South Division in Cowley reported a neighbor’s dog barking all night. A deputy responded and was unable to hear barking.

September 27: 12:19 a.m. – A caller reported a potential fight at an outside party on South Pryor in Byron. A deputy responded and could find no people in the yard nor hear any noise at the location.

4:02 p.m. – A caller reported kids riding on Fifth Street in Frannie on go-carts. A deputy was unable to locate the youths.

Arrests included: Tabatha Nichole Schultz of Lovell for a probation violation on September 23 and Zayden Jay Stahl of Lovell for youthful driver (age under 21) with detectable alcohol and consuming alcohol.

Note: The above calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
