Lovell opened the stretch Thursday with a 25-13, 25-16, 25-16 road sweep of Class 3A West conference opponent Lander.

Senior night ceremonies highlighted Saturday’s home event at the Johnny Winterholler Gym. Senior volleyball players, golfers and cross-country runners were recognized, with tributes displayed in the lobby.

Lovell then swept Class 2A Rocky Mountain in the interclass matchup. The Lady Bulldogs won the opener 25-12 before the Lady Grizzlies made the final two sets more competitive. Lovell closed out the match with 25-16 and 25-18 victories.

Against fourth-ranked Class 3A conference opponent Worland on Tuesday, Lovell dropped the second set 25-23 after taking the opener 25-18.

The Lady Bulldogs rebounded to win the next two sets 25-11 and 25-18, securing the match in four sets.

The dog and cat fight continues between rival conference teams Powell and Lovell Thursday in Powell at 6 p.m., with the freshman match opening play at 4 p.m.

The Class 3A West Regional volleyball tournament will be held October 30-31 in Worland.
