Dear Editor,
On behalf of the Big Horn County Republican Party, I’d like to express our appreciation to everyone in our county who helped to make the Evening with Andy Nelson and the quarterly Republican State Central Committee meeting a successful and enjoyable event.

Dear Editor,
As the president of the Wyoming Association of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Centers (WAMHSAC), the executive vice president and the chief business officer for VOA Northern Rockies, we are deeply engaged in the ongoing conversation about mental health reform in our state. We acknowledge and appreciate the attention that Governor Mark Gordon brings to this critical issue, recognizing it as a vital subject in addressing the complex challenges we face in mental health care.

Although I am not a true lucky duck, such as someone with astounding good luck, I have been amassing memories of my often-lucky situations.
For example, I recently marked the one-year anniversary of the passing of my beloved Jan. We were together for 58 years, and I have been recalling the good and not-so-good times. But in their own way the latter times often could be called blessings in disguise, such as me being blessed enough that she agreed to marry me -- although she took a bit of time.

Legislature 2024: Working for the local voter important

The 2004 Budget Session of the 67th Wyoming Legislature will convene Monday in Cheyenne, and it was encouraging to hear our local member of the House of Representatives, Dalton Banks, last week firmly state that he is conducting himself as an independent legislator, free of the shackles of the Freedom Caucus or other special interest groups whose mission is to steer legislators and legislation in a particular political direction.

Dear Editor,
I would like to thank Governor Gordon on his property tax proposals. Thanks. Thanks for nothing.
There is a property tax initiative going around, or was, to lower property tax on your primary residency by 50%. Of course Gordon’s against it. Never mind how much property taxes have increased due to rising property values.

Imagine a world where everyone loves themselves. Love is a force that operates under the natural law that action and reaction are always equal and moving in opposite directions. What you give comes back to you. You reap what you sow. Karma happens. What goes around, comes around.

I returned home from work tonight, and before making dinner, I opened the freezer, slipped out a half gallon of my favorite ice cream and dished out a small bowl. I stood in front of the heater, savoring every spoonful of peanut butter and chocolate chips while feeling the warmth from the fire on my backside and toes.
I’ve also been dreaming of making homemade macaroni and cheese with a warm batch of homemade bread. I noticed I’m sleeping almost an hour more each night, too. This is not like me. What’s up with that?
